Bring any items you typically need for a hike with your family. I suggest hiking boots for every member of your family who will be walking, a hat, layered clothing, water, and a snack. Baby-wearing moms should bring a comfortable carrier. As the club grows, I can support club member specific questions on hiking supplies.
Well-behaved, non-reactive dogs that are comfortable around children and adults they do not know are welcome at hiking locations where dogs are allowed. The weekly location details email will specify dog-related requirements for the hiking location, specifically whether the site allows dogs, whether they must be on leash or have the option to go off leash, or if the site does not allow dogs at all. Please remember to bring water and poop bags for your dog(s).
Absolutely! The club caters to a pace most suitable for toddlers and baby-wearing moms, but older siblings are more than welcome to join in on the family fun!
The focus of this club is to move mindfully with the seasons. I will support you and your children in noticing and appreciating the natural world along the hike. Depending on club member interest, we can also incorporate gentle breathing and meditation techniques into our hikes.
